(MEXICO CITy, 1968). Daniel Lezama has been a stand out artist since his time as a student at the Faculty of Arts and Design at the UNAM. In 2001 he won the Tamayo Biennial for La niña muerta (The Dead Girl) that made direct reference to feminicides in Mexico. His art has been featured at indi- vidual and group exhibitions such as Gran- des Maestros del Siglo XX (Great Masters of the XX Century) at the MARCO Museum; the Second Beijing Biennial; El Mito de Dos Volcanes (The Myth of the Two Volcanoes) at the Palace of Fine Arts; Imperium, at the Spinnerei in Leipzig, and Imágenes de la Patria (Images of México) at the National

His art is part of noteworthy public and private collections such as the Museum of Modern Art at the National Institute of Fine Arts co- llection, artist Damien Hirst’s Murderme collection in London, the Museo del Barrio in New York, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Essl Sammlung, and Black Coffee Gallery Foundation. In 2012, German publishing house Jovis Art released his book Travelers in collaboration with the Hilario Galguera Galler y.
