GARVAL

(Guadalajara, 1968). Sergio Garval graduated with a degree in visual art from the University of Guadalajara and from 2007 to 2010 was part of the National System of Art Creators of the National Council for Culture and the Arts. He has put on more than forty individual exhibitions and been part of more than 150 group exhibitions at galleries and museums in Mexico, Latin America, the United States, Europe and Asia. These include locations such as the Raúl Anguiano Museum and the Cabañas Cultural Institute in Guadalajara, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Morelia, the Francisco Goitia Museum, the Ex Convent of San Agustín and the Pedro Coronel Museum in Zacatecas, the Diego Rivera House Museum in Guanajuato, the Galería of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, the Luis Nishizawa Museum in the State of Mexico, the National Museum of Death in Aguascalientes, the Guanajuato Museum of the People, and the Museum of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit in Mexico City, among others. He recently created the monumental sculpture Las Tres Gracias (The Three Graces), which can be seen on Avenida Lázaro Cárdenas on the way into the city of Guadalajara.
